About the project
Suffield Community Aid (SCA) is a health service, social services and a "local safety net" that provides assistance to households in need. A Scout led a team to build a community garden for SCA. It boasts 8 raised garden beds filled with soil, a protective fence, and a gravel pathway. The SCA now grows vegetables and other plants in the garden
Community impact
Many of the vegetables that are grown here are planted by volunteers and the harvests now are a substantial contributor to local food banks.
