About the project
My project is a Veterans Memorial on the campus where I attend high school, La Salle College High School. The entrance of the memorial has two pedestal planters, one on each side of the stepping stone walkway, leading to an engraved veterans brick walkway, which has over 45 engraved bricks of veterans. After the walkway, there is a 16 by 16 foot concrete paver patio, with a bench on each side and a bronze eagle statue in the center atop a granite pedestal, overlooking the baseball field and LaSalle’s large American flag. This project will leave a lasting impact at LaSalle and for all veterans. This memorial will serve as a tribute to all the brave men and women who protect our country, acting as a place to sit and reflect. Furthermore, the memorial will continue to grow, as more graduates leave to serve in the military; their names can be added to the brick walkway. The memorial will be incorporated into class lessons on service and leadership, and student groups will visit the memorial throughout each school year to clean and learn about the space. • Built a memorial that honors our nation's veterans. • Over $25,000 raised • Over 585 volunteer hours • Earned the Eagle Scout Project of the Year 2025 Award (Council Level)
